Tyler Neill is an attorney in Boise, Idaho and a co-founder of The Speedy Foundation.  Tyler was close friend of Jeret "Speedy" Peterson since childhood. Tyler graduated from College of Idaho in 2004 with degrees in Politics & Economics and History.  He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2007. Tyler received a M.S. in Education/Sport Psychology from University of Idaho in 2008.  Prior to working as an attorney, Tyler was the Head Women's Tennis Coach and Associate Director of Compliance for the University of Idaho.

Erika is a small business owner and mom of 3 in Boise, ID. She lost her brother, Jeret “Speedy” Peterson to suicide in 2011. As someone who has also personally struggled with depression, she hopes to send the message that suicide is not the answer and that it is preventable. As a mom, she sees the importance of preventing suicide in young people and is proud to be part of The Speedy Foundation. Erika joined the Board in June 2014.

Katie Flood

Katie is the proud mom of 2 boys who live in Heber, UT. Speedy showed up at Katie’s house as a child with her brother Nate. Speedy made himself right at home becoming a member of her family. Katie attended college in Fort Meyers, FL where she played tennis, later transferring to the University of Utah, graduating with a BA in communications. Katie joined the Board in April 2015. Katie enjoys golf, fly fishing, and skiing at Deer Valley Resort. Katie is a certified QPR trainer.

Shannon Decker

Executive Director

Shannon Decker, executive director and co-founder of The Speedy Foundation, holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Idaho and has ten years of private and public teaching and administrative experience in Idaho, Nevada and California. She is a mental health first aid facilitator who offers trainings in Idaho and Utah to further the foundation’s mission of promoting mental health education and advocating for suicide prevention.

Linda Peterson

Linda is a retired registered nurse, in Boise, ID with a career of experience in several different areas of health care.  Linda created The Speedy Foundation after the loss of her son, Speedy, to bring awareness and hope to others living with mental illness. The positive energy and future of the The Speedy Foundation have helped keep Jeret's positive legacy alive in Linda's heart. Linda is TSF's #1 champion and volunteer.
