The Utah Department of Human Services provides a list of crisis hotlines by county. Mental health crisis lines operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are open to anyone needing mental health crisis services. The organizations listed provide crisis counseling and mental health information and referrals. All calls are confidential and may be made anonymously.

Mission: We are dedicated to suicide prevention, resiliency promotion, and supporting those impacted by suicide.
Suicide is a leading cause of preventable death in Utah and takes lives without regard to age, income, race, or gender. We are a public-private partnership of community members, suicide survivors, service providers, researchers, and others dedicated to saving lives and advancing suicide prevention efforts in Utah. The coalition has four workgroups: community awareness, training & education, epidemiology, and policy.
One hour film provides hope through the stories of survivors and of innovative approaches schools are taking to prevent suicide. Independent Utah filmmaker Frank Feldman’s approach to the film was to highlight three stories — a promising young athlete who took his own life when he wasn’t admitted to the colleges he wanted; a young man now in his late 20s who talks candidly about his suicide attempt as a teen and the relief he felt when he survived; and a young transgender teen who survived her suicide attempt, which reaffirmed her desire to live.
A school-based peer support program that empowers selected students to take action to improve the school environment. Hope Squad members are trained to recognize if they or their peers are at risk for suicide as well as how to encourage peers to seek help from a trusted adult.
