Working with Miss Idaho USA, Hannah Menzner

The Speedy Foundation is so excited and honored to announce our partnership with Hannah Menzner, the newly crowned Miss Idaho USA. Her deep passion for mental health stemmed from her experience volunteering for a crisis hotline, and she has since founded Project IdaHOPE to teach Idahoans to spot suicide warning signs and risk factors. We look forward to working alongside her as she continues her campaign for suicide awareness, and can’t wait to see the wonderful things she has in store this year!

We had the honor of working with Hannah, then crowned Miss Capital City Boise, through the Idaho Suicide Prevention Coalition’s efforts with HB 634 (Idaho’s Jason Flatt Act) and the re-write of Idaho’s Suicide Prevention Plan in 2018.

Hannah was on-hand for our legislative luncheon celebration to help distribute awards and has been an amazing advocate for suicide prevention in both Idaho and across the USA.

As an undergraduate student, Hannah attended Mental Health First Aid training and then shared her experience on our blog, read more by clicking here. We are excited to partner with Hannah and join her as she uses her platform to continue to combat deaths by despair and help shine a light on how individuals can access help and hope wherever they find themselves in need.
